This is Foia mountain, at 2,900 feet it is the highest point in the Algarve. Drove up a twisty road to get there and it is covered with masts and Airforce Radar antennas. I Had ice cream at the Food Truck below. Never been here before.

Thursday had dinner with Seamas and Susan from Naas – Seamas is a retired Irish Airforce pilot We went to a local restaurant – Amigos – 2 x Lamb Stew, 1 x Fish and Chips, 3 x large glass of wine, 2 x dessert, 2 x coffee and 1 large brandy – €36 !!!
Friday I met with Sandra and Patrick Dam in Abufeira – they hugged me forever! They are so nice and I will meet them again. (They were robbed by Jose too).
Saturday between exercises I had coffee with a third Dutch couple at the campsites.

That night I treated myself to dinner in the restaurant and the Moulin Rouge show. As I finished my meal, a young boy came up to me with a slice of chocolate cake and his mum said he wanted to share his birthday cake. We got talking and I told her my life story in 60 seconds. She said her name was Rita Cardoso from Portimao and she was a lawyer. She pointed to her Dad and said he is a retired Judge. She said if I needed anything done to ask her. I said I hoped to come back next year and she said I could stay with her family in a new villa they were building in Alvor. What a day XX.
