Dragon Legacy returned with another Fire show and it was a great way to spend Saturday night. John’s 75th birthday party on Thursday was interesting!! There was Marcel and his wife from Holland (I knew Marcel from the gym in previous years), Terry and Tosca from Northampton and Daniel and Gigi from St. Etienne in France. Daniel was 73 and was a complete head banger. He had a jet-ski which he took 20 Km off-shore out of sight of land and navigated back with a hand-held GPS.
He also had a mono-wheel and you stand on peddles each side of the wheel (no handlebars) and lean forward and back to drive it. He disabled the 25 km/hr limit on the wheel and took it up to 65 km/hr. The motor locked and smashed him onto the concrete road – breaking his carbon fibre helmet and the rest of him. I asked if he had his amygdala removed at birth.

I have discovered an addictive treat – it’s a chilled Starbucks Cappuccino from the supermarket for €1.10. Take it home, chill it further and drink with a Pastel de Nata.
Saturday morning I poured my muesli and then remembered I had seen American pancakes in Luz Beach Cafe – so back in the box (muesli) and into Luz – fab fluffy pancakes with crispy bacon BETWEEN EACH pancake!!
Friday Robb and Jose came to my awning for a great chat and on Saturday Daniel appears at my door and tells me that we are kindred spirits and invites me for coffee and more death defying exploits!
Today after F1 I went back to Zavial and Martinhal beaches – see below. Busy week xx.
