23 Luz & Lagos

Anne Marie gave me money to buy ice cream. This is about 1 kilo from the Ice Cream Factory in Luz and took me 30 minutes to make it disappear.

I had dinner at the camp restaurant last night for the first time. I could not help thinking that 3 years ago we were eating here and that the next time I visited the restaurant, Sandra would be gone.

Doing my 10,000 steps around Lagos today was sad, I’m afraid. The town is filled with hand made jewellery shops and street restaurants and every corner brought back memories. Sandra loved to browse as you well know.

I took some photos but my heart wasn’t in it. God I miss her. So here is the best I could manage. Salvatorio was fixing a broken sewer and asked me to take his photo. I am fine now as I write. Scroll down for more text!

Today I met Susan and Seamas from Naas at the yoga class. Then my new Dutch neighbours asked me for coffee and biscuits – and told me this afternoon that they both tested positive for Covid – yikes!!!

I met a recovering alcoholic, Joseph from Yorkshire, at the gym and he told me his life story in ten minutes – different!!!
